Assuming similar conditions, how much faster is the Paul Short 8K course than the Franklin Park 8K course? Based on the small sample I looked at PS is 30 seconds faster than FP. What do you think?

they don't call it "Short" for nothing
It depends on conditions of course but I'd say that's a pretty accurate estimate. All things equal I think I had it at about 1.016 times slower than Paul Short.
I used to figure out estimates based on times (this course is 30 seconds slower than that course) as long as footing, wind, humidity, and temperatures were similar. However it became less accurate as the difference in total time changed.
For example a course that is about 24 seconds slower for a 25:00 guy would be more like 28 seconds slower for a 29:00 guy based on total time racing.
so using your number a 25:00 is worth at 24:24 at Paul Short? Are you just giving an example to show how a percentage would work or do did you actually crunch some numbers between the 2 courses and come up with 1.016?

If Paul's course is short then no wonder it's faster
