What about the women results???
What about the women results???
Women want to be treated equally. There was an equalizer (5 minute head start). Rhines finished 6th overall no other woman was in the top 10.

Nice win by Shay, but without knowing the conditions, he was capable of winning against these type of times the last couple of years too.
Is 5 minutes a fair equalizer? I mean when you look at the top 10 times, the women lose at every spot. Or is it that the womens field is just that weak?
Equalizer based on US records? If so, then Deena has/had to be running to have a shot, the other women aren't on her level, no disrespect intended.
anyone know where Hennessy finished?
James Carney followsup on his big 5000 PR from last month. Nice guy who is on the move.....
Right where you would expect a athlete that has Bobby Gordon as an agent.

female results anyone???
Rhines wins for the women; Shay runs 43:27 and Culp about 43:34 for second.
look at the time difference from 1-10th in each race, its over 3min for the woman, i would say its weaker.
I can't explain why there's a diff between times reported above and what I pulled off a local tv station's website.

Well Ryan Shay is a long way from the mens us record holder?

Agreed. I've never met an athlete who was involved with Bobby Gordon who had nice things to say about him. What's the dealy?
"Is 5 minutes a fair equalizer? "
Mens WR:41:29 Womens WR:46:57(i think Radcliffe has run faster but uo).
The purpose of an agent is to get the athletes into the races that they want. Which races an athlete runs is the athletes job. How well the athlete performs usually falls on the shoulders of the athlete and coach. Why did Justin Young run poorly ? How about Molly Austin? Could that be coaching? What about Debbie Thornhill?
I'm guessing that's another masters AR for Colleen.
It's certainly not B. Gordon's "fault" that athletes like young, austin, and whoever didn't run well - their running could be a result of any number of factors; but I think the point of the other poster is in expressing doubt in B. Gordon as an agent who keeps quality athletes on board--I just wonder why he can't keep good athletes. Not to say Gordon hasn't had good quality athletes in the past, I think he has; for instance, I think (and I could be wrong) he had Dan Browne at one point; and he's had a number of others too, but has failed to keep them. And I wonder why that is...
