ivy league educated
He was born in Texas. Drank oil as a kid, as all Texans do.
What do you expect from a Bush loving right winger? His pops probably would cut off the $$$ if he became a climate change alarmist.
What's next, is Fancy Bears going to reveal that wejo got a TUE?
Runners and coaches are in the reality business. Power games and hustles do not cut it. You've got to do the miles and run the time. You can't be a pushover for propaganda and power plays (that yield little or no power at major cost to the environment) and damage the future environment by occupying ever more of it to produce ever smaller quantities of energy.

It's a conspiracy!

The poster is lying. I never denied climate change. I just said that on my list of worries it's way down there - I'm much worried about us all dying in a nuclear heat wave - and said I'd never studied climate change (as I'm not that worried about it) in an academic setting and asked for a Cornell grad to send me info.
One thing I didn't add. Ultimately, I think all cars will be electric and we'll need nuclear to create that electricity so we don't have huge environmental problems.
As someone who lives on the Baltimore waterfront, the environment is something I'm worried about. Ultimately, I think we'll certainly be smart enough to figure it all out. We could always do something radical like this:
http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20160425-how-a-giant-space-umbrella-could-stop-global-warmingIt amazes me how stupid some people are. Just because I'm not freaking out about global temperatures, I'm called a climate change denier.
Here is the other thread:
I am proud to be a Global Warming Change denier. Why did you guys have to change the name of it? Do you know that the Earth's climate is ever-changing? It used to be very cold and it will be very cold in the future. Again, you Dupes used to call it Global Warming but when the temps were not warming you were forced to change the name to Climate Change. You look like dunces.
Ultimately, I think we'll certainly be smart enough to figure it all out.
Freeman Dyson says we'll just need to adapt to be able to survive deep space and inhabit other planets. Eventually this will be forced upon us. Politicians, on the other hand, will probably give us useless solutions in the interim.
"It amazes me how stupid some people are"
Have you spent any time reading a flat earther? I read a comment on YouTube by a flat earther arguing that if the earth was a sphere then why don't people on the other side fall off?
Climate change is real.

Those aren't facts. The polar bear population is doing just fine.

We're willing to let you off if you donate all LRC's monthly revenues until year's end to a NGO supporting the environment, and toe the line on all our future issues. No exceptoins.

Columnist admits video on polar bears and global warming contained a serious error
Posted on September 2, 2016 | Comments Off on Columnist admits video on polar bears and global warming contained a serious error
Since mid-August, Vancouver Sun columnist Daphne Bramham has been filing a series of articles from an expedition cruise through the Northwest Passage for a feature called “Above the Arctic Circleâ€. One of these appeared on August 18, along with a video called “What to know about polar bears and global warming†and it contained an egregious error that should have stood out to any educated person as being wrong by several orders of magnitude:
What to know about pbs GW_Video_screencap 2_SUN_18 Aug 2016 marked
We are not talking about a difference of opinion or interpretation but a simple fact that was outrageously wrong by a wide margin. You see it, don’t you?
“Canada’s polar bear population dropped more than 40% between 2001 and 2010†touts the video – a “fact†that suggests a decline of thousands and thousands of bears over ten years.
[Assuming a global total of 26,500 (average of 22,000-31,000, which is the official estimate given by the IUCN Red List 2015), 2/3 of that (approx. number of bears in Canada) is 17,649 – and 40% of that is 7,060]
In other words, the video states as fact that more than 7,000 bears in Canada were lost in a single decade – which is not only false but ludicrously false. It is so wrong it should have raised a red flag with the producers of this video. But it didn’t.
I may not be the only person who caught this blunder, but it appears I am the only one who spoke up.
I left a comment below the piece at the Sun but since I saw the video was also carried at other media outlets across the country, I also emailed Bramham and her Sun colleagues about the error.
Just yesterday afternoon (September 1), I received the following email from Bramham (emphasis mine), almost two weeks after the video was published:
Dear Dr. Crawford [sic],
Sorry for my slow response to your email, but I was not able to receive my office email while I was in the Arctic.
Your outrage at the statistics is entirely understandable.
I had nothing to do with the video that was put together independently by one of my colleagues while I was in the Arctic.
I had left behind a fact box about polar bears that included this: The southern Beaufort Sea population on the west coast of Canada dropped more than 40 per cent between 2001 and 2010.
I did read the study and was aware that it was a single sub-population.
I have forwarded your email to the person who did the video and asked that it either be corrected or the video taken off the website.

Okay so let's assume you are right. The temp does change in cycles (rarely as fast as it is now) but let's just grant this point. If burning fossil fuels isn't harmful, then would you be will to still your face in front of the tail pipe of a car? I think not, because that will kill you. So when you have hundreds of millions of cars spewing poison into the air, you will have some insulation of the atmosphere, and poor air quality.
As for Rojo, good God people leave him alone. His opinion on politics doesn't even matter in the context of Letsrun. Furthermore, publicly ridiculing somebody over an opinion that neither OP nor Rojo have a ton of knowledge on is pretty silly.
Please make global warming go faster so all these polar bears will die off, and I can be safe. I'd like to be able to surface at my breathing holes in winter.
I'd rather be bludgeoned by a sealer, than menaced by a polar bear.
Thanks for your help.
Please make global cooling go faster so all these fancy bears will die off, and won't leak my TUEs.
I'd rather be infused by a magnesium IV than fall into their hands.
I can donate chilled hats, if it will help.
