I have 2 runners who are at 15:55-16:02 5K range. Our Sectional, Regional races are in mid October. State Meet last weekend of Oct.
The last coach left me training plan but has no more long runs planned for rest of season. Is this proper training? I ask boys and they said last year hardly did any long runs during season each failed making it to state meet, both stated they faltered in last mile.
Any advice on long runs for rest of season based on how much time left. Also what distance is good for this time of season. Thank you it is the senior years and they are both hoping to get to state meet this year.
