Nikes lack quality for trainers. They are usually 110% geared to just looking cool with the latest swagger/trendy designs so they'll sell. These days almost any other brand makes far superior trainers.
Nike racers are good for short track and road races where any sort of quality or durability isn't a favor and where flywire and a hole in the back gives you a spot to put over your privates for fun/in your spare time.
Nike was the first ones 15 years ago to have Dri-Fit materials on clothing and up the price on a typical running garment tshirt from the standard $20 to $30-35. These days any technical top from any brand could run you $35-$65. If a thin cool weather long sleeve it'll most likely be $60-80. If a thicker long sleeve technical top for cold weather it's probably $90-$120.
I must thank Nike as I owned about 30 shares of its stock since the 1990s and it did one of the best of all stocks in my portfolio. I sold it 6 months ago to help with a downpayment on my first home.
