What are you guys doing within the 7 days before a marathon? When do you usually run your last serious workout?
Aside from strides, the last week I would either do something like 4 X 1200 at tempo pace with a minute rest, or an easy distance run with a mile or two at mp to finish.
Just something to make me feel like my legs are fresh and being turned over and that I'm not losing fitness.
3-5 days before I do 3 miles at MP

My last week workouts looked about like any other week except with 30-40% of the volume. That is, I'd taper volume, not intensity. Of course doing only the first few repeats of a typical set is pretty easy.
Masturbate at least once per day, usually more. Relieves pre-race anxiety.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
