2:55:34 for you. Complain just once and I'll add another minute more.

Is it a rule this year at VIA that you have to run the entire course?? Why were so many people affected by this train? Isn't it the runners own fault for staying on the course for so long? Surely by this stage, if they were serious in their attempt to BQ at VIA, they would have already been driving to the finish line?
I think it's totally ridiculous and unfair to adjust anyone's fime. Poor race planning on the part of the participants should not be rewarded.

The Via board has always been fair and very transparent in their in their decision making process. You have nothing to worry about.

Yeah, and Mike will be DQ'ed by Barb. Dream on.

Sorry, but it probably won't be. At best they will give everyone a blanket 45 second deduction. That's for those that were stopped and those that were not. That's the easiest and fairest way to appease the largest number of people.
Sad thing is though that Boston has said they cannot accept altered times due to the train stoppage already. The rest break factor. If you BQed in the original results, you're good, but they will not even look at adjusted times.
Too much of a slippery slope in which RDs all over the country will be finding any excuse to doctor times in order to sell themselves as "BQ races". Heck, wouldn't surprise me if a savy RD scheduled a train crossing in a race next year in order to doctor everyone's time to a BQ. That's why the BAA is taking such a tough stance now.

Remember this is the board that told MR , by his own claim, that there are many instances of runners who have no pictures taken during a marathon. This well before the non decision was handed down.
this is not unprecedented. CIM was stopped by a train in 2014 and times were adjusted. I was 1 minute under BQ not counting the train stoppage. 4 minutes under with actual running time.

And Boston did not accept the BS altered times.
What kind of rinky dink loser event gets interrupted by a train?

Actually, they did.

#Cali to Boston, baby
Doesn't anyone here watch Breaking Bad? Since 9/11, trains don't publish 'schedules.' What's more, they intentionally vary their routes/times so one cannot be deduced.
Where is this race located exactly? Is close enough that the RD could be in the running for Philly's Biggest Loser in 2016?

If only there were some way to find out this secret information or to know how far a place is from Philadelphia.
60-90 minutes north of Philly.
Probably not close enough.

I think she and Gerry could be co-winners. Amazing what people can be confident and proud of.
