Mo "No Balls" Farah just drifted behind the leaders all the way until the big downhill.
"Ahh.. I could run faster but..."
He will have regrets after he retires.
Mo "couda shouda wouda" Farah
Mo wins - 60.01.
Ritz 2nd 60.10

Great time by Dathan!
I continue to say it, Ritz is simply amazing. What a talent. Training by himself, in Michigan, with a family, pushing himself, motivating himself, lone wolf, just unbelievable. What a stud.
And he's only 32/33.. he still has another great cycle in him.
Agreed, great run by Dathan. It's not the fastest course either. He's comfortably in sub 60 shape.

Wow! Solid performance by Ritz. I thought he was DONE after the trials where he went home DEVESTATED....maybe not? He's running NYC isn't he? Should be fun to watch him if he is running.
Meanwhile in the women's race Vivian Cheruiyot and Tirunesh Dibaba can't match Radcliffe's full marathon WR pace for a half marathon.

No one is touching Paula's record for a good deal of years. Maybe Ayana when she switches to marathon, but it's still a long shot.

Agreed. And remember when he failed to qualify at the trials and so many here were saying his career was over? Well it's far from over.

Great to see from Ritz! He's been doing good lately, lots of people counting him out; can't wait to see how he does in NY, hopefully he's ready for the full marathon.
Great run by Ritz. Happy to see him performing well again. I think he still has a good marathon in him.
I think Ritz best distance is the 1/2 marathon.
He should simply be a road whore- nothing wrong with that.
Back when road racing was just starting to grow- late 70's/early 80's- a lot of guys were road whores and distance runners were well known.
They were with the "masses", running the same race, mingling afterwards.
It was good for the sport.

Unbelievable talent and dedication. If he can stay injury free, I believe he can still improve his performance level in the half and the marathon as well. I'd love to see him win a major marathon.
Ritz has always been a BIG talent, it is just that he as been fragile and been derailed by injuries in the past. Hopefully by training by himself and taking days off he has it figured out. Hope he runs a really fast time at NYC.

WOW, what a run by Ritz! Please stay healthy! PLEASE!!!!
That is a great run from Ritz, 60:10, just ten seconds off his best, which was a tactical and maybe warm race at the world half champs where he won bronze in his first year with Salazar. At that time, he was probably in sub 27 shape after running 12:56 and 27:22 in a very warm championship 10000m. Farah with another easy victory rather than going for track times.
Here's the last mile or so.....
If Ritz could train 130+ mile weeks consistently w/o injury, he'd be an **ELITE** marathoner.
