Why do so many people like him? Everything about him seems unlikeable
Because he has the human element of failure when he gets it wrong. He's not an awe-inspiring machine like El G. Everyone wants to believe that they, like AK, can succeed even though we screw it up sometimes.
2:39.54 at 1k. Now WR pace but it's good for sub 8.
Well that stinks - rabbit out early after falling over the barrier.

It's a good thing as I was about to throw a fit for them leaving the steeple to show her.
Jager 137 at 1.5 laps.
What's the temperature?
At the start of the meet, the announcers said 70 F (converted from C)
What a race Jager going for it!
Both rabbits out due to strange accidents.
Jager 346high with 4 laps to go.

Ick. Not before the race, dude.
5:21 at 2k. No WR but maybe sub 8.
66 feels like 64 for temp according to

Please get a split screen.

They are way ahead of everyone else.
3 laps to go - 450 mid for Jager who is with Jager.. If they do do 65 and a sub 60 that would do it.
They said before its "about 21 degrees."
5:21 at 2k so if they kick they should get it.

FYI, for those interested in the Man vs. Machine race, the Machine (the Indupol One solar-powered car) prevailed against Kenyan Nicholas Kipkoech over 600 meters.
Kipkoech was up by over 100 meters with 200 to go but the car really picked up speed and wound up blowing by him. Video here of the final 200. 1:13.17 for the car, 1:16.70 for Kipkoech.

Kipkoech goes home DEVASTATED!!!
beIN Sports cuts away 5 minutes into a steeple chase race, WTF
Kipruto wins 8:03.77.
the world record is what it is. aided by epo and many other drugs. lagat, ngeny, guerrouj, morceli and co. could afford to go out in 54-55 and not die because they had a plethora of peds pumping through their veins. nobody is going to break the 1500m wr, ever. notice how kiprop has fallen off since the drug allegations surrounding his handler? let's be honest, in the flyin' 90s these guys all basically sprinted off the line. they could afford to do so. the only place anybody can approach that 3:26 is on monaco's spring track and only with the green light for doping. guerrouj was able to run 3:27s routinely on much lesser tracks. NOBODY is going to break that 1500m wr.
8:04.01 Evan
Big PR for Bor.
