====================================
For those following field events, Latvian javelin thrower Palameika won with a NR of 66.18m.
Also, here are the paces for rabbits:
M800m 49.8
M1500m 55.5, 1:52, 2:20 (3:30 pace)
M3000SC 2:37, 5:18
W5000 2:50, 5:40, 8:30, 11:20 (14:10 pace even)
Who is the rabbit tasked with running 11:20? I imagine that it would be difficult to find someone able to hit that pace reliably and evenly willing to rabbit rather than race for more pay somewhere.

Semenya is pacing through 4k

Rabbits get paid. Where else are they going to run and get paid more? What other races are happening today? Or next week for that matter?
I agree finding someone who can run 11:20 through 4k is difficult. More difficult than finding a man to pace 10:15.
They probably have a rabbit to 2k, Ayana will have to be her own Rabbit after that.
Even 8:30 for 3K is only 5 seconds off the American record. For a rabbit?
Nearly 20 EA women have run under 14:50 for 5000 this year, one or two of them should be willing to pick up a secure paycheck and do the job.

some interesting wabbit splits
Alf was in sensational shape in paris, in a perfect race, it wouda been ~ 1'41-low !!!
if he goes for fast time & follows 49.8, which is ~ 1'41.6 pace, he needs to ensure initial 200 is not nonsense 23-low/mid but more like 24-mid & & then no slower than 50.0 at bell & he can get into 1'41s
the 1500 pace is unambitious, shoud be aiming for 3'28+ with 1'51.0 at 800
Asbel went back to kenya after lausanne to train & i hope he isn't going to waste it with a 3'30/3'31 effort
the men's SC splits look nonsense :
2'37 is 7'51-pace !!!
5'18 is 7'57 pace ??!!
how is he supposed to run 7'52 off that 2nd km ???
'Ruto is in shape to run 7'50+, so splits shoud be 2'37 then slight slowing to 5'15 , which is 7'52.5 pace, leaving a big last 1k to get him possible 7'50+
hope weather is good...
I'm wondering if Alice Aprot might be the rabbit. She hasn't touched the 5K circuit much and isn't in the Diamond Race. Maybe worth a payday for her to rabbit a WR. It's not specified in the startlist but I think it's a possibility that that's the case. Nobody else listed in there outside Obiri and Kibiwott are capable of that type of 3K-4K pace and the Ethiopians certainly aren't going to rabbit.
I'm calling Aprot taking it from the gun.
Yes
Maybe
Not a chance in he ll

I think Tverdostup is the first rabbit and Aprot the second.
FYI, for those interested in the Man vs. Machine race, the Machine (the Indupol One solar-powered car) prevailed against Kenyan Nicholas Kipkoech over 600 meters.
Kipkoech was up by over 100 meters with 200 to go but the car really picked up speed and wound up blowing by him. Video here of the final 200. 1:13.17 for the car, 1:16.70 for Kipkoech.
