I plan to be running the Footlocker Northeast qualifier there, how can I be prepared to run well there training this season apart from my regular training?

Know the hills. Know when to surge and when to settle in. Know how to make use of the downhills!
Practice going out fast. Running fast across the flats to the balloon and then left to the start of the hilly portion of the course is important. When you go up into the cowpath passing becomes difficult. You must establish your position early. Good downhill running form is important on this course too.
