Is she the one that fabricated that nonsensical story about telling off the president?
WHO. CARES.
I can already tell you who the sex/age/race the main character is, which actress plays the main character, what sport the main character is in, etc.
I'm a college sophomore, so I'm not some biased old man here. Pappas' looks, running ability, and publicity have convinced her that her story is one that needs to be told to the public, and she keeps retelling it, with minor insignificant tweaks so as not to be 100% her to the T, and yet people keep watching it.
WHO. CARES.
The OP cares. That's one. I kinda care, that's one and a half. I'm sure there's a few more.
Anyone who responds with, "who cares," is most likely a narcissist with an inability to understand that a diverse group of people will likely have different cares than their own.
But you have time. When you're a senior, you might begin to see outside yourself. It happens sometimes.

I don't think the sophomore meant "Who cares?" in a literal sense. If you read the entire post it went on to explain why you (as a reader) should NOT care. She answered her own question. This is actually a common critical style of writing, often seen in Op Ed columns.

I'm not sure if the OP cares. I suspect the OP might be another half care.
I care about Alexi Pappas' new movies in the same way I care about Jamin's new movies: mostly as comical fodder, because I refuse to believe they both aren't amazingly convincing trolls, just pretending to be pretentious jerkwads.
If I could stream it I'd care enough to watch it. Not going out of my way, but anyone can feel free to publish a link
Has anyone seen it? Is it any good?

So you're not a "biased old man" but instead a butthurt young kid?
Haha but yes. No offense to Alexi who I've met in person and is a perfectly nice and cheerful young woman, but the short films she and Jeremy did were just cringe-worthy. It is not an exaggeration to say that they were written, edited and performed like projects for freshman English are. If their feature film is anything like these, then holy God. I guess you could argue that they were just a fun, silly project for her and Jeremy to do...but why were they getting coverage from the NYT?
I'm interested in seeing the feature just to be able to see the difference in quality, if there is any. I genuinely like and admire Alexi for pursuing her dreams and simply being likable, but I can't help but think that her fame is built more on just that--her likability, persona and oft-told story than her actual artistic output. Would be cool if I were wrong, though.
