Prandini was even with Schippers coming off the turn in yesterday's Paris 200; then Schippers pulled away. Prandini almost always looks good the first half of her races, then fades. What does she need to do to improve her finishing speed so she can reach the podium in Tokyo? Thoughts anyone?

Prandini should move up to the 400.
I would say the opposite: She should move down to the 100 and not be primarily a 200 runner. She is closer in time to people like Schippers and Bowie in the 100 than the 200, and if she doesn't have the speed endurance for 200, she won't have it for 400 either. Her 200 best is well out of line from her 100 best. And if you look at her 100m in Lausanne....

...her start and early accel to 20, well, basically sucks like Lemaitre's. Blocks are too close to the line, she stands up almost like a high school girl, basically has no drive phase. There's a lot there that could be fixed, but her top end is very good. She can't go with John Smith because he's a Nike coach, but she could go to ALTIS like de Grasse did.
In Lausanne, at top speed in the second half she zoomed by the others behind Thompson in the 100m. But in Paris with Schippers, she had an equal first 100m and did not hold it well and lost also to Henry. So, a little hard to understand. 10.92 is a very good 100m time and she's not broken 22, though she came close last year I believe. With her build, 400 should be a good event.
A 22.20 sprinter trying to stay with a 21.65(?) sprinter in the second half of a 200 is not going to hold it well. You either have to get a LOT better speed endurance or go after a different event. 22.0 for women is roughly equivalent to 19.8 for men or 10.82 for women in the 100--and she's going to need more than 22.0 to compete against Thompson, Schippers, Felix (when healthy). Probably easier to get in the 100 given that her start is weak.
