I'm a male that just started his senior year in high school. Recently I was diagnosed with low iron with a ferritin level of 21. I know it's not extremely low, but it is kind of affecting me, which is why I went to get my blood tested. The doctor prescribed 325 mg of iron daily. I just started taking 1.5 teaspoons of ferrous sulfate daily. I've read that you should take this 1 hour before any meal and/or 2 hours after a meal for better absorption. Also take a 500mg pill of vitamin c with my iron. Is there anything extra I should do? What has worked for everyone else? What about iron throughout the rest of the day? How long did it take to start feeling better? Thanks for the help
