We may be moving to this area next year. Would be going to northern IL but the taxes there are ridiculous but we need to be in that general vicinity.
Being from the south where snow is mostly a myth, I am wondering how to best prepared. I have run in some bitter cold before and have the clothes except maybe face protection to deal with it but no snow shoes or ice cleats at the moment.
I'm wondering how available outdoor tracks are and whether or not they are maintained in winter to allow for workouts?
I will have a treadmill for the worst days and really don't mind it all that much given some good movie to help break up the monotony but prefer to run outside as much as possible.
Also wondering if there are any larger indoor tracks there? I am a physically challenged runner so don't want to be in anyone's way and don't mind using outside lanes as long as they aren't filled with walkers.
