Like others, I'm sure, I think of the late Sammy Wanjiru often and what might have been. He would be 30 now, and I think he would be the equal of Eliud Kipchoge. They would be slugging it out in the marathon majors series, trading victories around the world. Kipchoge had better short track speed, up to 5,000, but Wanjiru was better over 10,000. Wanjiru also ran with an abandon that I loved. Kipchoge seems to be more under control. They would have pushed eachother and their different styles would have made for some really great racing. I remember reading that Wanjiru said he thought he could eventually run 2:02:30. I think Kipchoge will run that next year. Opinions?.............
