I am curious to know what people think about wearing chain necklaces during races. How fast does one have to wear one? Could a middle of the pack D3 runner wear one without embarrassing himself?

Tyson Gay does this style on the right.
I'll let you decide.

I pity the fool who doesn't like wearing chain necklaces during races.

I don't see any swimmers wearing them, Mr. T.
I can’t believe that I still see some guys wearing those chain necklaces. They want to look posh, but personally, for me, it looks ridiculous. I strongly believe, that the most appropriate jewelry for men is a wedding band and watch, and that’s it. No more chains, earrings, and stuff like this. Leave all this stuff for girls, and better buy the, a necklace or earrings, than for yourself. The funniest part is that I see some guys wearing jewelry for women. Seriously, once I saw a guy wearing necklaces and a couple of rings like this. My sister liked the necklace on that guy and bought a similar one on https://www.chvker.com/collections/hearts
Good day. Yeah, I agree with previous answer. Speaking of wearing chain necklaces while racing, I think it should be prohibited. But if you like jewelry in general and want to buy and wear some cool necklace, I don't see something bad in this. By the way I can also share cool online jewelry store https://www.fjewellery.co.uk/ maybe you will find something interesting there.
