Coach Roy and Coach Miller the two coaches for the upcoming cross country team have gone silent in recruiting in the summer and act like they don't even care anymore. Any information on the program or them/their recruiting process?

They don't want you. Let it go.
They don't want a 4:10 1600M ? Funny
4:10 ain't that great. Above average, sure. Why would you want to run for a coach who clearly can't communicate?

Still kinda confused why kids go here (besides female 800/1500 runners). Seen far too many kids, firsthand, burn out and quit, get cut for odd reasons or transfer out in recent years. Doesn't really seem like a good fit for many kids.
Plus being massively underfunded and in an okay distance conference (read: Tulsa, Houston), makes it kinda obsolete.
Trust yourself. f you're already getting vibes that the coaches are callous schmucks, you're almost certainly right. And it's only going to get worse throughout the year(s) if you do manage to get a roster spot.
I speak from personal experience. I've been exactly where you are.
