he didn't like the silver medal because he already won gold. not a big sacrifice.

What's the argument for giving it to the guy who was 5th in the men's decathlon?

I used to like him, until his former coach got caught with EPO, and his early celebration stunts that cost him one, almost two DL wins were stupid. This would be a nice gesture that makes him less obnoxious but he probably didn't earn that medal cleanly.

Agree. I don't remember him looking so heavy in the past, but lining up for the 1500 Saturday I saw how full his singlet was below the bib. I thought to myself, "Wow, he fat now!"

It could be that pesky water retention from anabolic steroids that gives Mak Daddy that "Bloated" look.
Diuretics like Lasix that are also used as masking agents…could help that pesky water retention.

I don't think the glory rests in having the medal itself as much as it is the recognition that you won it. You are the silver medalist whether you have the medal or not.
