I think you are right, I think he is likely sub 8 and sub 13 fitness in an ideal race. Any word if there will be pacemakers at either race? If not, it seems unlikely he will break either, unless he can get somebody else to share the work with him.
Looks like Kipruto has announced that he is attempting the world record in the steeple at Brussels, so Jager will have somebody to run with, assuming he doesn't think Kipruto will be going out too hot.
