Mo Farah's fastest 5000m is 12:53.12.
-Kenenisa Bekele's fastest before he set the current world record: 12:53.12
-Haile Gebrselassie's fastest before his enormous 12:44 world record: 12:56.96
-Eliud Kipchoge's fastest before he went #4 all time: 12:52.61
-Dejen Gebremeskel's fastest before he went #5 all time: 12:53.56
-Sileshi Sihine's fastest before he went #5 (now #6) all time: 13:06.53
Mo Farah has lost one competitive 5000m race in 6 seasons, over 22 races. ONE.
Mo Farah has 3 consecutive world titles and 2 consecutive Olympic titles over 5000m.
Mo Farah is no doubt better paid than any of the men above him on the all time list. His single minded focus on winning - rather than combining racing and time trialling - has worked for him in his life and career.
Please can we have a moratorium on people calling him a 1500m runner or a historically lucky 5000m runner that happens to just possess a good finish until there is a shred of evidence for these propositions? Thanks.
