My question only applies to runners in high school or younger so no smart ass comments about using PED's please.
Jack Daniels comments in his books and lectures that there are four key attributes that determine the potential success of a runner (middle distance and longer).
In no particular order they are:
1. Physical ability
2. Desire to succeed
3. Opportunity to compete
4. Coaching
How would you rank these factors in mouldings a young runner into being a good runner.
