Just looking at my weather app and the dew point right now where I live (SW Florida) is 81 degrees and "nice" 83 degree temperature to go with it. If I take even as much as one step outside, the warm, choking air envelopes me like a soggy, suffocating blanket of death. (Makes for a nice sauna though!)
This is the highest dew point I have ever seen and felt. If it's still like this in the morning, I'll have to run 1 min slower than usual per mile. How do you guys survive? I drink about 3 liters of ice water an hour before I head out, it's the only way for me. I'm base training for my sub 16 5k right now.
What's the worst dew point any of you have ever ran in? How did it feel? Also, is it just me or is it getting hotter/more humid every year? I feel the dew points were not as bad last year but I'm not sure. How does anyone run over 50+ mpw in this?
And props to those running who live down here, this weather is just brutal!
