Can he throw farther than a 5:00 mile?
Well what I should have said was, a good distance considering the technique used... the arm speed/strength are notable, and he has the advantage of height allowing an effective approach carriage and posture. His run-up and body twist at the moment of launch wasn't badly timed either.
However, you can see from the quivering and the high-alpha trajectory of the jav that the thrust vector of the throw was below the axis of flight, which increased drag, and robbed that throw of some distance. Perhaps considerable distance. Without decliining into VENTOLINISM, I think 70m is possible with just marginally better technique...

With some training that might be possible. He would have to spend some time working on the pole vault to make that height. If he only went 2 meters in the high jump that would be an absolute embarrassment.
That discuss might be a tad high.
