First, I don't lift exclusively to improve running. Second, I do an organized group lifting workout 3 times a week, so I don't have control over the group workouts I'm finding that sometimes a week or more goes by before I do another exercise for a specific muscle group, so I'm not even in maintenance mode.
I'd like to set up some sort of tracking ledger so I could quickly look at my last week of workouts and see what muscle groups haven't been worked out in the past few days. Then, I could just add those lifts at home.
Does something like this already exist? Is there software, apps, or spreadsheets to track workouts?
Here's what I'm thinking. I'll ID various exercises by muscle function and make a matrix and then just check off whether that muscle group has been exercised in that workout. The columns would be muscle groups and the rows would be dates. Example

Arms Push out
Arms Push overhead
Glutes
Quads
Hams
Calf
Abs
