I'm not in favor of more DQs at the Olympics, but I thought he'd be disqualified based on his sloppy move and essentially taking a top competitor out of the race.

Then stop questioning why there wasn't another one.
Pretty obviously he should've been DQ'ed, and it might become significant if any of the top 3 test positive for anything. Figure Kenya refrained from anything because they had nobody who would benefit from the DQ. Had Kiprop run 4th or 5th I'm sure they would've protested and won. Right now, they'd need 2 guys to get popped for any medal.
The precedent set throughout the heats of all of the events is that tripping someone does not get you DQd. The only consequence is that it gets the person you tripped advanced to the next round regardless of the plausibility that such person could have advanced on his/her own merit.
So it's hard to change the mentality in the final and say, oh, NOW tripping someone is a foul that gets you DQd.
It's a very bad/stupid/perverse message to send, but that's where we are.

Well it sucks for people who get tripped in finals. There's nothing left for them to advance to. I'm sure Kwemoi is upset (also I'm sure Morgan Uceny is probably pissed too).
Thank goodness he got 4th instead, a dirty filthy doper.

Yeah, but when Makhloufi gets busted, Souleiman's going to get bumped up to a bronze. A tripping bronze!!! That doesn't sit right with me.
A tripping, doping bronze!

Why is everyone championing for Ayanhle to be DQd? I thought Kwemoi tripped himself the same way Moh Farah did in the 10000m? How comes no one mentions the fact that Chris O'hara of Great Britain should have been admitted to the final after impediment by the same Kwemoi when he cut him at the onset of the last 90m during the semis, causing him to slow down his momentum and move from top 4 to end up almost last.

I fail to see any interference of O'Hare by Kwemoi in that video.
Because if Lord Coe was to DQ Souleiman he would have DQ Ovett for the 1980 800m final but he would be the primary beneficiary of that act and that would look bad from his perspective.
