What is the best shoe I can get for running and lifting? Would lifting barefoot be a good idea? I have a high arch if that helps. I've been looking online for shoes but I really am ignorant on the topic. I appreciate all the help.

The problem with lifting barefoot is a weight falling on your skin, at least minimalist shoes give you some protection. I wear minimalist shoes, I do lots of 1 legged exercises.
That's true, I've read online that lifting with minimalist shoes/barefoot could help someones very. In my opinion though minimalist shoes are somewhat worthless.
I lift at home and always go barefoot. I do think it helps the most with foot strength development.
There is always a chance you could drop something, but everything has risks. I just choose to minimize those. I lift well within my means and don't push maxes. Also, when you think of where your feet are in relation to the weight during most exercises, they are not in danger of getting hit.

Agreed. I usually wear wrestling shoes when lifting.
I squat barefoot on a mat, and people will tell you it's bad, but I think it's the best way to squat. Furthermore people that deadlift and aren't trying to get a mechanical advantage will use converse or go barefoot, so obviously it's good stuff. But yes if you drop a weight you have a higher chance of breaking a bone.
For lifting I'd recommend the crossfit nano's. They are sturdy enough for lifting and have a slight heel to them but they are good for running as well. Definitely don't get a pure running shoe and use it for lifting, so unstable imo. Any flat shoe will work. Chucks were common at one point.
I just use a minimalist running shoe.
