Great job ladies you made us all proud.

Yes, a great bunch of women.
Usually see a lot of bragging and posing with mentions of God.
Was really refreshing to see 4 genuine, poised athletes on the biggest stage.
They should have future track teams watch them so they know how to do it.
I liked seeing them pray as a group after the race.
Prayer is powerful.
I wish they would have given a shout-out to the woman who ran for Bowie in their strange semi-final.
And of course, someone has to get upset about any potential talk of God. Why do so many atheists whine and cry all the time?
"God" doesn't give a sh*t about sports.

I was making a general statement, not one about sports

This is because they destroyed their atheist paradises: the Soviet Union, Maoist China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia.
No visible tats.
Team prayer of thanks.
Full of gratitude and joy. And damn fast.
4 all American girls who made me feel proud and hopeful for the future of our country for a change.
Pure class.

Agree completely, but I'd like to highlight something from that post:
No visible tats.

Can't know unless you're God, can you?
More precisely, He does care about prayers and rewarding the righteous in a way that is meaningful to them and consistent with His plan for the souls of the world. I think that would be the proper Christian answer, and some in other religions may equally agree.

A tat has never been nor shall ever be a tit. The reverse cannot be said.
A couple people I was watching with remarked on the lack of tattoos as well. Is the trendiness thankfully dying out?
What I would like to see - is to see them pray and give thanks when they lose as well.
How come you never see them do this?
Is there a video of the interview?

Parts of it can be seen here:

It was a great interview. I like Bowie saying that she had the easiest job. All season, Bowie and Gardner a fierce competitors, it was cool to see them as teammates.
That race really was one for the ages.

There are some interesting cultural & religious streams arising from Puritanism, in the US. There is widespread belief in the Puritan-inspired folk that wealth is a sign of God's favor, and poverty a sign of God's disfavor. This is one of interesting contrasts between Protestantism (which favors the wealthy) and Catholicism (which favors the poor).
The Bible they share has enough contradictory statements to support both of their beliefs (even the belief that having many wives is a sign of God's favor), so each side believes what they want to believe.

The presumptuousness of humans' pinning characteristics on the (alleged) Master of the Universe is simply stunning. Who are *you* to say what a deity cares about and doesn't?

What deity? If there was one, why would he or she favour the victors over the others?
