Only hope is if he counter protests that Gebremehdin close down on his lane or something. Stranger appeals have happened.

It's really too bad. I thought he was going to fit through. And, on the straightaway it doesn't give him any advantage. Too bad.
O'Hare whineeeeeingggggg.
Robby will be DQ'd and he should. Squeezed his way through on the inside and DID gain an advantage. Silly from him.
I'm an Andrews fan but that looked like a clear dq to me. Left the track to pass on the inside and then cut off the athlete he passed when he reentered.

Andrews put himself in a terrible position with 300 to go and never made an effort to get wide.
Exactly. He put in a big push to get himself in the pack with 200 to go and then got boxed in. Andrews' move is always to god wide right. He tried to but through the inside...WTF! Baller move but I'm sure they'll protest and DQ him.
I thought you only get dqd if you step over the rail on a turn. There's no advnatage on the straight, right?
But andrews did impede a runner - that could be cause for a dq
sure it does - it allowed him to go around the ethiopian.

I thought O'Hare's interview was great especially for being as crushed as he clearly was.
Track N Field needs an inside passing lane on the home stretch like Harness Racing has on some tracks. http://replays.robertsstream.com/racereplays/generic/genplayer.php?cust=NorthfieldPark

Did Andrews step out? He got 5th otherwise.
On the straight doesn't matter, plus it was only one step, and someone pushed him off which gives them reason to advance him anyway.
Not bad at all. wrote:

You're right. I was thinking of "advantage" in the sense that it doesn't reduce the distance as it would on the curve.
Brojos better be on the Andrews issue and report news ASAP.

True. He was chomping at the bit at 200m, but got boxed in. He had tons of gas at 200m and at 100m, finally just had to go and didn't have space inside. Crazy speed he had on the home straight!
Still no official results on IAAF website. Never a good sign.
What a dumb race by Andrews, letting himself get pinned against the rail. A certain DQ, he had no lane on the inside.
Monti will have it first most likely.

Clearly Andrews did get an advantage he did it to get round the Ethiopian. Otherwise he wouldn't have got past him. Probably will be a DQ. Shame as he looks very fit and will do well in the final if gets the chance and runs better tactically. Hope the judges didn't see and there are no protests. Fingers crossed. Centro looked pretty good.
