I honestly think Kerry Clement wanted or needed more money, so he decided to actually train hard this year and get himself paid for a couple more years.
Regardless, well done.
The commentating is driving me nuts.
Part of the problem is they aren't calling the winner at the line. I could tell instantly Clement won. How bad is the angle for the NBC guys? Just look at the monitor.
Now it's not helping that the runners also aren't reacting as the timers are being careful and not putting it up on the board for a while.
But these commentators are messing up more than normal. Boldon did a good job of talking about the sub-48 but then didn't mention how so many nationalr records were set.
He just said there are 9 lanes on the track. There are not. Only on the straightaway.
Rojo that 9 lane comment cracked me up too. Somebody has to get disqualified, or the US is out for sure.

Kerron Clement barely holds on for gold!!! I ran that race. The final few hurdles suck. He kicked ass!
This win means nothing without the Russian
So happy for Clement. He was getting tight in the final stretch, but once he cleared the last hurdle without his usual chopped strides before, I knew he would hold on.
What a quality race! Too bad it wasn't under the lights in prime time.
According to Flo Track, the US has filed a protest in the 4X100 Women's Relay.
What a low quality olympics without Russia!

Tom Hammond needs to be sent home. It's like he has two names he can remember in each race and he just keeps saying them no matter what is happening. Whoever they hype pre-race he'll say "Devon Allen is off to a good start and so is McLeod" regardless of what actually is happening. In the 110 hurdles he kept talking about golden boy Allen running well as he faded out of contention and never even mentioned Ronnie Ash who was right there for a medal until hitting the last hurdle.
In the triathlon the Brownlee borhers have started to lap people - wow!

That guy got out of the sea a minute behind everyone else, he must have swam the wrong way or something.
*brothers
This looks so easy for Alistair Brownlee.

No, I think Bro-hers is more accurate.
? Dont get it sorry!
Brownlee brothers - wow, just amazing! Proud parents perhaps?
Anyone got their 10k splits?
What they did to Mola and Murray today is what the British women and a few others are going to try to do to Jorgensen tomorrow.
She's worse in the swim and bike than Mola is so she could be in trouble.
Not quick but Alistair has a pr of 28.32. Probably about 33 mins approx.
31.0x for A Brownlee, 30-low for Murray (RSA)
