So every runner that does something is dirty, every runner that can't advance past the prelims is a "wasted slot" "lazy" or "runs stupid".
What distance runner, male or female could win a Gold and not draw the hate of this board?
I say none.

I don't know Emma's background but I did notice that nobody had her on the dirty list after the 10k record and the inevitable dirty lists came out. I know there's a pro-US pro-white bias here but those lists did include a few other Americans as well, but not Emma. Why not her?
Not even Jesus, who reportedly walked on water.
Not on the team this time around, but Chris Derrick has probably build up enough good will that so long as it wasn't won in some crazy/suspicious fashion (i.e. he somehow develops massive closing speed and blows everyone away on the last lap), he would be celebrated. Perhaps if he took a shot at the marathon in 2020.
I've seen posters claiming that Emma isn't hot.
If that isn't hate induced willfully blindness, I don't know what is.

Nobody is criticizing the kiwi kid who went to Kenya.
For top distance runners, the Kiwi miler gets a lot of respect around here (although people do whine about him calling out "drug cheats").
DeGrasse gets a lot of love.

Laura Muir. She is perfection in a runner. Brave, fast and that accent.
I wasn't on LRC at the time, but Tegla Loroupe somehow became super popular in NYC, in an unassuming way. And it was before total and utter east african dominance so she was a novelty. And that hair.

Desi is well loved, but some idiot criticized her on Sunday for having unrealistic expectations and not knowing how to race. Nobody is immune.
