Since we've got to get up in about 5 hours to head to the track and are still working, we thought we'd start the thread now.
Actions starts with 5000 and 1500 prelims.
We've published our 5k preview here:

"Galen Rupp in the women's 10,000 in 2012"
Just wanted to lodge my complaint about yet another sprint semi-final and final so close together, this time for the 110M hurdles. Also, the triple jump final when most of the fans and athletes are eating breakfast. These morning finals make no sense to me. I think a high schooler could have done a better job of mapping out this athletics. schedule
First 5 + next five will move on.
Let's hpoe one of the guys in Brazil posts soon. They arent' answering their phones. I hope they weren't "Lochted" last night.

Why? Because they have no kick. ANd her sb is 15:33. It's much better than saving face and getting destroyed. We hsould be appreciating this brave effort:

How much do you think the bbc pay Paula for being a pundit on tv? She is very good at it. Would it be a salary or certain ammount per job? Cant imagine she would be cheap.
Fair enough - suppose it makes it interesting too hey.
Chorono only medal contender in this heat. Uehara still leading the pack a 3k at 9:18

At the field swallows the Japanese right after 3400m
Oehara takes the lead again at 3800
But 100m after that she went backwards, nice effort, shes still in 4th though with 2 laps to go.
Big PB for the Japanese oehara, the American gets a final qualifying spot.
Your theory only works if she runs even pace - which she didnt. Oh well - she gave it a go I suppose!
Quite an impressive run from the Jap in the end, maybe she'll get a fastest loser spot. Not enough they can come back even for a bit.
Houlihan an auto Q
Conley apparently crapped the bed
Olympic record 18.09
World record 18.29
will Taylor get the Olympic record, will he get the world record?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
