I don't know how many people are still following this, but I think that the latest developments, although entirely predictable, are nevertheless worth noting:
According to this link, Maric's two-year doping suspension ended on August 6, 2016:

According to this link, he's already back as the throws coach for the University of Virginia:

According to this link, "Maric did not coach during the 2016 season while working for the University's IM-Rec department":

I don't know what happened to the guy who was designated as the throws coach for the 2016 season. I also don't know whether Maric, when he "returned" to coaching, actually had to move his office or change his university telephone number or email address to reflect his new position. His telephone number and email address while he was purportedly working in the intramural sports department certainly appeared, to me, to be associated with the track team, and I never did see him listed on the intramural sports web page as a member of the intramural sports staff (although I believe that his job position was changed in his university directory listing).
I think that this apparent subterfuge, beginning when the university was informed of Maric's doping ban and continuing through to Maric's formal reinstatement as throws coach, is a disgrace. It reflects badly on the university track team and staff, the university athletics department, and the university as a whole. It also undermines the university's much ballyhooed honor code and its alleged "community of trust":
