So similar to World Indoors!
So similar to World Indoors!
Congrats!
USA USA!
Moved from silver to gold on 6th round
This was bitchin'
WOW!!! Huge throw.
And when is the last time Valerie Adams lost?
And you can thank NBC for not showing it and, as of 11pm est, not even mentioning it. There were important heats of the W100 and non-medal swimming races to show.
Well breaking 12 seconds in the 100m is quite some feat ya know!

They just did a few minutes on it numbnuts
They showed a grand total of one of her throws and it was after 11pm. It's really not rocket science when you are broadcasting the meet with her sitting in 2nd going in to her last throw to cut to her and show it live. It's not like they weren't already showing track events and all of the swimming medal races were long over by then. NBC is a joke. It's not like 1984 when the USA had a ton of gold medalists in track so this was a BIG deal.
You could have watched it online live. Just stop.
The ball was probably light. That and she's doping.
I did watch it online because I am a track nerd. 99.9999% of Americans aren't and missed it. Just stop defending brutal coverage.
fo rbeing tape delayed they missed an opportunity. Father was a silver medalist, last meet of her career, no us gold in w shot since 1950's. Wins on last throw to defeat two time champion who lead the entire way. If you cannot build a story around that and build it up to something to end the night on then what the hell are they trying to accomplish.

She's retiring? She's reached the pinnacle of achievement and there's not a lot of money in shot putting, so it might make sense. If she wanted to is she young enough to go another cycle?
This was so exciting, and couldn't have happened to a classier gal.
So happy for her and her family.
The shot putters were so gracious with each other afterwards. A fairly small community, so understandable.

They're planning to cut into tomorrow morning's track coverage as if live, and tell themselves it's "plausibly live," since America don't care about TNF no more.
;)
Exactly. There are live streams of every god-damned competition at the Olympics. People need to stop bitching about how NBC is not showing the one that they deem most important. If it's really that important to you to watch, watch the live stream!!!

Well, the latter is probably right. Hell, her dad who always pointed fingers at everyone else was chowing down on dianabol in HIGH SCHOOL and was known as a big time roid abuser as an NFL player. One helluva hypocrite when he was in the NFL.
Boooooooooooooo!!
Valerie is still no.# 1
(Her shoulder hasn't healed yet)
