But Jonny you said that the nervous system plays a role in running efficiency. Of course drugs can make your nervous system perform at a higher level. The drugs bind to the same receptors as neural receptors, block the reuptake of neurotransmitters in the synaptic cleft, and change the operation of secondary effectors.
Keep believing in your fantasy, Jon.

Did you know its winter in Rio? Actually pretty pleasant there for running in the am and evening hours.
Weather in Beijing was good, not bad, ran that am and felt it was pleasant.

To be able to demolish the most doped distance record on the books... very, very, very unlikely.
It's 100% suspicious. We know the dibabas are dirty based on their coach getting caught.
It's 100% likely that this is a dirty record and gold.
I'd say 8:06 3k is the most doped distance record, 8:06 is much better than 29:29 10k, especially considering Paula's 2:15:25

Officials are going to let E. Africans, Cubans, certain other African and Latin American countries and individuals get away with doping. And a lot of cucks will swallow it hook, line, and sinker. If the fact that Aden's charges are all present and accounted for, Rosa's top dogs are ready to go etc. isn't a tip off then nothing is. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

What the Dibabas do does not make a statement about Ayana.
Amazing how you perform math. You provided zero evidence that Ayana is doping, yet insist that there is a 100% guarantee that she is doping.
An excellent performance is not evidence of doping.

Neck high? The problem is not pervasive enough to call Ethiopia "neck high" in a doping scandal right now. Russia would be an example of neck-deep.
an excellent performance in this case is 100% confirmation of doping, especially since she destroyed a Record by a known doper that no one has even come close to for decades.

Correct, it is not.
I still find this one a bit hard to believe.
At this point, they might as well just shoot up right there on the track. This is absurd.
Even if they were shooting up trackside, there would be people on here claiming they weren't doping because we didn't know for sure what was in the syringes.

I'm wondering if all the womens's 10000 meter competitors competed in the weight lifting event (clean, snatch, jerk)... If Almaz Ayana would win.
What do you think?

As do I, but I also want to look at all the circumstances and not just the time, because this record didn't just come out of nowhere--Ayana has been pretty unbelievable for the last year and a half. So the question I'd ask is who does she train with, who are her coaches, and have they been implicated before? Did she switch training groups prior to her leap into prominence? I'm genuinely curious, since in my experience there is always smoke around the fire.

I hope considerable credit is given to Alice Nawowuna for the pace she set in the first half. That was huge in setting the tone for the race and made the WR possible.
Yes big thank you Alice for setting the pace the first half.
Finally women with the courage to attack the tough women's 10k record.
This time for Ayana is in line with her times for 5000 meters, so is nothing unusual for her, yet still is indeed quite outstanding!
It's pretty much equal to 5km pace + 5 seconds per km. So 2 seconds per lap.
Your thinking would be right in the half marathon/ marathon scenario.

that's even worse....wow
It is a 10k on track. Experience doesn't teach you much if you know how to run a 5k. You know your goal pace is going to be ~8-10s/mile slower than your 5k pace and the training is pretty much identical for a distance based runner. It is all about getting opportunities (good field/good weather) which doesn't happen very often.
