Anyone willing to pay $160.00 for running shoes are admitting they are suckers.
That seems a bit much unless you consider:
Some people prefer knit uppers to traditional uppers because the fit is better for their feet
$160 + tax + shipping isn't very much money for good equipment that allows you to perform at your best
Heck, I'll spend that over the weekend on food and beer so I'd actually be better off buying those shoes.
Personally I am not a fan of the Flyknit material. It is stretchy which I believe doesn't hold your foot in as well and I much rather prefer the upper material of any regular running shoe. For that reason I'd recommend just going with the regular Streak 6's.
There are different types of Flyknit... its a very general term. Some of them are very stretchy and some are not (lunarepic flyknit vs flyknit racer)
I suspect that this one is more similar to flyknit racer
I have a pair but haven't run in them yet. I probably will this weekend. Will try to post some sort of a review once I do.

Ditto. Don't like the stretchy material.
Any idea which version (flyknit or regular) was used by nike-sponsored runners in the Rio marathon? (at least no one seems to be using Streak 3 anymore)

Not worth the extra $$$. The uppers on these rip real quick. Which ever version you use , you won't feel you got 110 or160 out of them. Expect the upper to start ripping around 100 miles and your foot to start spilling out of the rips around 200.
Do I need to reiterate it? Or has the dead horse been beaten?
Flyknit upper doesn't lock down your foot as well as a traditional upper. Too sloppy. Did you see any flyknit in the men's oly marathon yesterday? No pro uses it for good reason.
To walk around in a pair, though, is a different story. Sweet looking upper for walk around kicks.
I'd be curious to know how the Flyknit Streak compares to the Streak 6.
Has anyone worn both?
