Love it!
The BBC are reporting that Usain Bolt questioned at a news conference yesterday whether rivals like Gatlin etc. are drug free, stating also that "People should have faith, we're weeding out the bad ones".

Right. For 0 - 24 months, and we let them keep their old winnings/medals/records, and then let them come back, even on the national teams.
For me, its an issue of doubt. gatlinclaims innocence, several ppl have stood up for him, false positives and inadvertent accidents have existed. im comfortable splitting the difference with a 2 year long ban
...and the IOC have asked the athletes to stop talking about this problem.
LOL
The IOC is very uncomfortable about what the swimmers are doing.
The swimmers have a history of calling this problem out.
Remember when the Chinese came out (all drugged up). The swimmers got them out of the circuit really fast.
Phelps called the drug gets out, King is the most vocal, but others are speaking out too. Good for them...
Yes.
Only white, non Russian dopers should be allowed to compete.
And they should be allowed to accuse others of doping but nobody must ever question if they dope.
Well, until after the Olympics anyway at which point the mass media will have made tons of money off them and then they can be thrown to the dogs. Like Lance Armstrong, Mark McGuire, et al,
I'm hoping now us track athletes will have the courage to say Gatlin gay Merritt et al shouldn't be on the team. And I hope fans will boo dopers like fans booed the Russian swimmer.
I hope a lot.
I fear Nike will tell any Nike athlete to shut up about Gatlin and gay. Maybe brooks and saucony would give some freedom.
I think first doping violation, you should serve the appropriate ban + are immediately disqualified for all future Olympics.

Why pick on Merritt? He wasn't trying to enhance his performance on the track
Lillie King is dope, in the good way not the bad way.
King needs to stick to her own sport. These athletes have served their ban. She doesn't set the rules so her opinion is irrelevant. I highly doubt there will ever be lifetime ban for first offense. She is probably just desperately trying to land sponsors anyways. The life of a swimmer is harsh sometimes. She comes off as narcissistic, rude and disrespectful in her etiquette.
Totally out of line for King. You don't blast your own country's athletes at the Olympics. What a clown.

Hi Phil Knight!
Hi Lily!
The much maligned in these boards Paula Radcliffe said the same.

I have no problem with her comments. I am actually stunned that she is being attacked here when LRC is all about burning every mildly suspected doper at the stake.
She should stick to her own sport and her opinion is irrelevant because she doesn't make the rules? What kind of horsefeces argument is that? I guess we should just all stop talking about anything other than whatever tiny expertise we have in life and even then we should only talk if we are in charge and making the rules. The rest of the plebeians need to shut their big yappers.
...???
She is expressing an opinion and she is shaking things up. It's great. I for one think it's sad to watch all of my non-sports FB friends watching the Olympics having no clue how sports actually work (the brutality of training and the true brutality of doping and having to cheat to win), and I love that she isn't just floating through the games with a smile on her face. I hope she keeps it up.

Right. It's fine to blast Russians (and Africans and Jamaicans, don't forget), maybe hungarians too.
All those Americans are clean, though.
The Olympics are about national pride and unity. She's putting her own opinions and ego above her country's best interests. I have no problem if she wanted to do this at any other time in the previous or next 4 years, but come on.
You folks ragging on Lilly King for speaking out are part of the problem. She's entirely correct. All the drug cheats need to leave the sport. Go flunk a drug test in the real world and see what happens to your job.
