Memo today IOC asked athletes to stop accusing each other of doping on TV and other media.

The IOC can f*** itself.
IOC should send a memo asking athletes not to dope...
L. King and Mack Aussie should be stripped of all medals for being against Olympic principles. In both cases, it was clear and officially determined that Efimova and Sun DID NOT intend to cheat, but just made professional naive mistakes.

I would like to see the memo or a link to a story about it. A google search did not turn up anything, but I might have chosen different search terms.

Well said.
Agreed!! It's so simple and true but they just don't get it. Why can't these various agencies just do the right thing?
Simple. Remove the athletes who make accusations during the games, ban them from competing, take away their medals. Afterwards can are free to comment as they please.

Give me a break.
In any case, talk about an oxymoron - "professional naive mistakes". It can be professional OR naïve, but not both.
Both took similar medication not because they had angina, but because it helped blood flow - ie took a banned drug to get an advantage.
FINA found exactly the opposite, that Sun took the drug (trimetazidine) for legitimate medical purposes, specifically not to performance-enhance. His coach could have just written a TUE, but CHINADA is tough and then banned him for a year instead. It was added 5 months before, and removed 7 months after he was found "guilty" of using it.
The medication Sun received containing trimetazidine was for a heart muscle condition known as angina pectoris, which loosely translates from the Latin as “strangling feeling of the chestâ€, and can cause chest pain and palpitations.
The Aussie press hates him.

And after the Olympics Sun and others will be invited to Australia for a series of match races, happens after every Olympics between Aussies and selected protagonists, apart from sponsorship, it's the only chance they have to make any dollars. Mack knows exactly what he needs to do to raise his profile and luckily for him he's got a convicted cheater to help him do it.
As for Efimova, FINA found (6.20) that there couldn't be any serious suspicion that she intended to dope with 7-keto DHEA, but rather ingested it erroneously (negligence) on the GNC clerk's advice. They also found her testimony "credible" with "corroborating evidence" on the matter, saying she had "no significant fault or negligence" but they had to follow the rules and ban her (now what are the odds that someone from a different country would have the "rules followed" in such a case?). They conclude that she had "a lack of intent to cheat or gain competitive advantage", but the USAers still call her a cheat for no reason.

So the people cheating should be allowed to compete without being called out on it, and anyone who TALKS about it should be banned and have medals revoked?
You know, with way things are going in the world right now, I'm just not surprised by this.

Another frail individual, like Sharapova, overcoming a heart condition to beat the world's best. Funny how neither appear to have been vocal about their heart conditions until after the fact.

FINA found that? I understood the "ban" was imposed by CHINADA and not mentioned till it was finishing.
By the way did you hear they removed the word "gullible" from the dictionary?
FINA is as FINA does wrote:

A little reminder for those who think that DHEA is not a PED, T. Gay and L.Merritt both were caught for it.

The ban was imposed by the Chinese Swimming Association, on advice from CHINADA. Then FINA didn't see fit to aggravate that sagacious decision, so by agreeing with the finding.
