Did you know:
USADA tested (or requested other entities to test) the following athletes between 10-01-00 and 9-30-04:
Meb Keflezighi: 19 times (4 in 2001, 5 in 2002, 3 in 2003, 7 in 2004)
Deena Kastor: 23 times (4 in 2001, 5 in 2002, 5 in 2003, 9 in 2004)
Alan Culpepper: 18 times (5 each in 2001 thru 2003, 3 in 2004)
Regina Jacobs: 21 times (8 in 2001, 5 in 2002, 7 in 2003, 1 in 2004)
Colleen De Reuck: 16 times (4 in 2002, 4 in 2003, 8 in 2004)
David Krummenacker: 15 times (3 in 2001, 2 in 2002, 7 in 2003, 3 in 2004)
Jen Rhines: 15 times (4 in 2001, 3 in 2002, 8 in 2004)
Stacy Dragila: 21 times (8 in 2001, 2 in 2002, 6 in 2003, 5 in 2004 )
Marion Jones: 17 times (2 in 2000, 2 in 2001, 4 in 2002, 3 in 2003, 6 in 2004)
Tim Montgomery: 9 times (4 in 2001, 3 in 2002, 2 in 2004)
Kelli White: 11 times (5 in 2001, 4 in 2002, 2 in 2004)
Maurice Greene 14 times (2 in 2001, 3 in 2002, 4 in 2003, 5 in 2004)
Shawn Crawford: 22 times (4 in 2001, 3 in 2002, 8 in 2003, 7 in 2004)
I'd love to see the testing history of MLB, NBA, & NFL "stars" during the same time frame. My guess is that WEJO has been drug tested more times than Barry Bonds!
Just for the hell of it I looked up and found:
Weldon Johnson: 5 times (once each in 2001 thru 2003 and twice in 2004)
Teddy Mitchell: 2 times(once each in 2002 and 2004)
Eddy Hellubuck: 5 times (once each in 2001 & 2003 and 3 times in 2004)
Deeja Youngquist: 4 times (all in 2004)
Personally, I think the testing methods leave a lot to be desired (in terms of testing for the newest doping practices), but all in all T&F does a relatively good job of "trying" to catch the cheaters when compared to other sports.
