SDF's MySQL servers are temporarily down, and as a result TrackBot is temporarily out of service. It should be automatically fixed within the next 12 to 24 hours or maybe much less.

I was curious to see how well VDOT works with shorter distances. It obviously breaks down a lot at 400m. These times are WAY faster than I can run.

From earlier Trackbot for Coe versus Ovett. Did they really only race each other 5 times on the track? 4 of them at the Olympics?
Is it only international level races that are in the database? Surely there most be a lot of domestic level races missing?

Moreso the fact that the DB isn't meant to be comprehensive before 1998, it only has the Olympics and other major international competitions before then.

Exactly what I also posted, there was at least one XC race at jnr level (hs) that the two met, with Ovett coming 2nd and Coe 10th. I bet there was track meets where Ovett won or placed in the final and Coe failed to make the final.
I wonder if Habs considered using the ARRS database with its athlete data? Ken Young and the ARRS recently put out a more interactive website with all of their [ARRS] data at more.arrs.net; which allows users to compare runners head to head. I think it would just be a small step to move Trackbot to the ARRS database. Tilastopaja.net is a pretty thorough database, but Ken Young's records might be more comprehensive at least back to the early 1950s. Also, I know that Ken is into developing machine learning.
