He was not.
Here are "The Frig's" NFL stats:
http://www.nfl.com/player/williamperry/2502453/careerstats8 rushes for a combined 5 yards and 2 TDs. So he averaged .6 yards per carry.
I think I could score 2 out of 8 times from the 1 yard line.
You guys haven't worked in PR like I have or journalism. The writer needs good copy to work with. That was my main goal, "Give him a quote that I know he'll use so I went out on a limb with the house thing."
That being said, my NFL analagoy was a good one. I've got people arguing on here that he'll be better at the miel than most sprinters simply because he's a freak and special athlete.
It's the opposite. The fact that he's so fast mean's he's full of fast twich and will be worse at the mile.
It amazes me that people think Bolt will be good at a mile simply because he's fast at 100m. Does that mean Jeff Demps would also be good at a mile? If the logic is all 9.6 100m runners can run 4:20 in the mile, then that means all 10.6 100m runners should be able to run 4:36?? So your average college sprinter could beat Ashton Eaton at the end of a decathlon? Yeah, right.
We give athletes attributes they dont' deserve. Oh he's so competitive etc.
One of the most competitive runners I ever had at Cornell wrestled in HS. His record? .500.When I found that out, it initially blew my mind to think that someone with such "willpower" would get crusehd in wrestling half the time. The reality is he just didn't have the physical tools. Similarly, Bolt doesn't have the physical tools to run the mile.
So by your logic all 45 second 400 guys should be able to break 5:00?
Holiday is shorter than Bolt as well.
