I realize that this may be silly thread, but I need some backup. We run a cross country program in an area with a phenomenal trail system, and yet the head coach has the team running not only on the road, but on the sidewalks. I'm a huge advocate of trail running. After all, aren't we coaching cross country?
Anyway, to solidify my point, I need input from other coaches as to the amount of time that you spend on trails. For example, if you spend 60% of your training on trails, etc.
Your input is much appreciated. Maybe just a brief description of your program will help me too!
