your baseline fitness and responsiveness to training determine how you perform in a 10k test as few months training ends.
assessment criteria:
1. the runner is honest and not trolling.
2. the runner has just been off the couch and does not participate berforehand SOCCER/SWIMMING/HIKING or other activities that Favors any growth of baseline aerobic capacity . This runner is mostly sedentary.
3. the runner doesnt have a history of training for consistent years.
4. if the runner has trained for a few months before, this runner has to rest up long enough to untrained state which usually takes more than 6 months rest.
5. the runner is not overweight when started training and healthy.
5. the runner is training properly and not injuried.
the duration of training is 4 months since 4 months is enough for capillarization and musle growth. it is a point where things start to plateau up at first and then 1 years
the mileage chosen for assessment is 25 mpw (40k every week) because it is the point where scientists proposed aerobic power growing up decently and enough for developing certain running economy and building up a primitive base for improved performances. the next point is 50 mpw.
assessment process:
in the week off the couch, coach should administer moderate jogging training until first month ends and up to 13mpw.
in the second month coach should gradually build up to 20 mpw with easy runs and tempo runs ,
to the third month coach should build up 20 mpw with the same porgramme Once third month ends with the fourth month starting, coach should add up intervals or other more aggressive training until fourth month ends.
up to 4 months of training, the coach should give the runner a 10k test.
