I for one was very pleased with the set up of the whole meet. I believe that it could have been slightly more regulated but what is all this fuss about? If kids are going up to athletes to get autographs or get a picture taken with the athletes it could change that child's life. ATL's mission is to get more kids to enjoy the sport of track and if this is what it takes then why not?
"Regulated" being the operative word. A lot of the kids grabbed at the athletes, asking for their bibs and medals. It looked a little wild and some athletes looked uncomfortable but smiled and complied. Hopefully ATL will do a better job with that aspect of their meets next time. Overall a good meet and happy crowd. Bonus: It so awesome to watch it on TV! Yay! Thanks, ATL!
