Do you call this a dive or fall?
Do you call this a dive or fall?
How about letting the runner identify the way he wants to identify his technique for himself
Another ingebrigtsen brother! Ran a messy race though and died on the homestretch.
Not sure if dive or fall, but it worked out for him beautifully
Probably the best dive I've seen to actually win a race.
Except this one:

(Play at 0.25 speed after 1:00)
I call it a DQ.

We wholeheartedly agree with this message.
The Ethiopian "junior" is like stage 5 male pattern baldness, wtf is the point of world juniors when a 25-year-old Ethiopian and a 15-year-old Norwegian are competing against one another?
The winner stumbled through the finish line.
That was probably the roughest race that I've ever seen.
Runners were constantly going sideways and knocking each other around.

Quite a messy race for little Ingebrigsten. He still ran a 55 last lap though, and he's only 15. I doubt even Lagat or Centro had great race savviness at that age, and I was impressed he seemed to be going for the win.
Damn that fall was timed beautifully. If he'd lost balance (and I believe that is what happened) a moment earlier or a moment later, he might not have won.
The french guy in 4th or 5th is the actual champion. The cheaters ahead of him are over agers. Appalling that Kenya hasn't been banned from WJRs for age cheating.
The Evan Jager style of kicking (except closer to the finish).
Here's a race video from a more accurate viewpoint:
I want to kick that Ramsden kid from Australia in the skull. Pushing people all around. Glad his surge did not work out.
LOL all three of the medallists (esp.Tolosa) have serious hair loss. If I was elite junior there is no way I would bother with these joke races.

Yeah, the move by Bibic at 1100m was awesome. There were about 6 inches between two runners and he just sprinted right between them.

Problem is it cannot be proven. Ever. No such thing as 'genuine' birth certificate in many African countries.
Watch video a little closer. He mistook the waterfall start line for the finish and leaned at that line. Don't know if he went down realizing his error or he would have went down anyway just from the lean. He was NOT tying up and he did NOT dive at the finish line.

I remember when people said this about Legat, Meb, Geb, etc. By letsrun calculations they are between 46-54 now.
They don't need to age cheat.

Ummmm...Lagat claimed 26 when he first ran for Kenya. Meb competed in NCAA as a claimed 21-22 yo but not WJ. Geb did, however, win silver in WJ in 1992, so could have been an age cheat. Source Wiki.

Haile Born april 18, 1973
1992: runs 28:03/13:36
Marathon: 2010 runs 2:06:09, 2012 runs 2:08:17
What type of age cheating do you think was going on? If he is/was 3 years older than he is listed, do you really think a ~ 40 year old can run 2:06 and a 43 year old drops a 2:08? Hey I wouldn't be shocked to learn that Geb is off by a year but I find it hard to imagine much more. I am a heck of a lot more suspect of the 15/16 years olds runners who fade away around 25 than an 18 year old winning juniors and then running at the top level for 20 years.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
