Wasn't there some sort of 'fracture'?

I love Nick and appreciate all he's done for middle distance running in America. But we all know it had nothing to do with his ankle/very little and all to do with lack of fitness.
Why would a stress fracture prevent you from surfing?
If I remember correctly it was a tendon strain or pull as opposed to a break.

Hey, we're trying to hate on Nick Symmonds here, don't interrupt us.
That's not Nick in the photo
Saw him at the Straight 800 in Springfield during the trials. He didnt seem to have any problems. I saw him run from the finish line back to the start to get the next race going.

well, what was his split?
It was a straight 800 remember? He can't run the curbs bc it hurts his ankle.

Ummm... I don't think so. I saw him riding in a truck to and from. Also, he was shuffling and helping a two yr girl old ( not sure if she was a niece or daughter of the co-founder) in the race.
High ankle sprain. Nick said it was broken, but in the Flotrack interview Mackey explains the details of the injury saying it was not broken.

Correct.
Allyson Felix ran with a broken ankle and almost made history.
Symmonds should be ashamed, except 1) no one has ever referred to him as tough, and 2) he's a Brooks Beast: they are all soft.

Nick retweeted something saying it was a torn ligament AND stress fracture in his left ankle on June 29th. So he was lying again? Doesn't shock anyone....
Brooks needs to part ways with him. Anyone who 2 weeks ago says they have a stress fracture and torn ligaments who post pictures of themselves on a surf board doesn't deserve a job in this sport.
Legere from T-Mobile who wasted his money buying space on Nick tweeted they will stick with him for the next oympics and many more after that....this guy is a CEO who supposedly cares about track?? How many more olympics does he think Nick will compete in? The answer is zero....
that's Smith in the photo, the 800 meter guy who dove into the finish for bronze

He's a total liar and manipulative person. It's fairly obvious.
He probably had VD from banging some skank.

That doesn't look like Symmonds, and he never said it was him. You going to apologize for this rant?
I saw him after one night of the events at the Trials when it was raining. He was dashing over that grassy noll on Agate and under a tree to get under cover. He didn't look injured in that moment.
Nick was finished a year ago. He lost his hunger. Can't blame him. He gave his all for years.

I've had several stress fractures and strains, etc. Often times the injuries start to feel better in a week or a few days, but when you resume serious training they hurt a lot again quickly. It isn't surprising that he can make a short dash without pain. He probably can't run heavy intervals without pain though. Nothing to see here.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
