I think what's really annoying is federations like Turkey paying foreigners who wouldn't find Turkey on a map to run for them. So far 8 medals at the European Championships have been won by Kenyans, a Cuban, an Azerbaijani and a Jamaican competing for Turkey.

You forgot #3 - they lack the work ethic necessary to be world-class distance runners. Always looking for shortcuts like hyperbaric chambers, altitude tents, underwater treadmills and fanny packs. They need to put down the smartphones and game controllers, move to Big Bear, eat more oatmeal and dedicate themselves to a life of running, running and running - like all those African guys who just made the US olympic team.

Mead has been in America since 9th or 10th grade and had a prolific career at the University of Minnesota.

I don't think everybody complaining about the Africans on the US Olympic team is racist (though some are). For me, I think I'd be just as concerned if Frenchmen took 6 of 9 spots (or whatever it was). To some, it's just a matter of wondering what representing your country at the Olympics even means if the representatives aren't exactly from your country. A case can be made for various individuals like Lagat and Mead and Meb especially. But I think the fact that so many spots were taken by people not born here leads one to wonder, wait, what if every spot on every country's team was taken by East Africans (or some other group)? What if US sprinters started moving to other countries to claim Olympic spots (which they are surely physically capable of doing)? Wouldn't it seem weird if Kenya's sprint team was made up of mostly sprinters from the US?
Zero Native Americans made the USA team. Think about it.
To correct your headline! 9 of 9 distance races went to US citizens! I am sure it's not as fun writing it like, then you don't get to have racist motivations for starting the thread.
By 2020 the Kenyan running factory may be ramped up so all countries can purchase a distance team for the Olympics.
Kenya need to create a draft system so the country can maximize the value of their main export.
Kenya needs to understand supply and demand before they flood the market with sub 2:10 runners and their product becomes just another commodity that no one cares about

And then a great number of them make the Olympic team and come from the Army. Sounds like a great fast-track citizenship system to bring in ringers for company US Army:

I have to agree that this is "modern" American in one way. America outsourses pretty much everything and now we are outsourcing distance running.
