Turkey is buying athletes from all over the world and letting them compete for Turkey. Why isn't this banned yet? I guess they are probably doping them all as well.
I say you shouldn't be allowed to switch nationality over the age of 16

The US Army does the same.

There look to be two Africans in Israeli vests in the M10k too, and Israel is even less in Europe than Turkey is.

Luckily neither of them actually got to the finish.
Give them the chance to run
qatar, azerbaijan, and bahrain have been buying up athletes for years.united arab emirates is starting to,as well.none of these countries would ever get anywhere at all,if they didnt.they might have one athlete per competition, and thats about it,and no automatic qualifiers.as for the cuban 400 hurdler competing for turkey looks like a walking advertisement for steroid/hgh use,and the kenyan female improved out of sight, this season..

Lots of Ethiopean Jews moving to Israel. And Israel competes with Europeans because those sweet peace loving muzzies will kill them if they go to their neighbor countries.
Turkey shouldn't even be allowed to participate in European Championships. What a farce, Non-Turkish runners running for Turkey, a non-European country.

+ Manzano, Lagat, Abdi, Hassan Mead, Charles Jock, Chelanga, etc.
While Israel is not geographically located outside Europe, it is far more European than anything else. (This is also true of USA and many other countries in the Americas.) Israel's neighbors know this.
Turkey is in Europe and Asia too. Most of the population is in Europe (Istanbul). And what about England and all of their "plastic Brits"? Or maybe half of the Greek team (in some sports)?

No. Most of the population does not live in Istanbul. And in any case only half of Istanbul itself is in Europe.
It's time to wipe out that Erdogan scumbag and retake Constantinople.

At least the 'plastic Brits' have a genuine family link to the country.
It's opportunistic of course, but it's nothing like these Kenyans who have no link to Turkey just becoming Turkish at the drop of a hat, sometimes without having ever set foot in the country.
The reason why the 'plastic Brit' thing is such big news is because British people themselves are not that happy about it. A lot of the bigger name cases (Zharnel Hughes?) for example have a perfectly reasonable claim to run for GB.
4 Africans coming up in the W5k, running for Sweden, Germany, Spain and Turkey. Starts in 25 min.

You're an idiot. Manzano, Abdi, Mead, and Jock all grew up in the USA. The other two at least went to school here, speak the language, and went through a near decade long process to get citizenship.
The Kenyans running for Turkey are just that, Kenyans who were handed a Turkey singlet. And yes, they're all dopers too.
And one American running for Greece
Most of the (non-Army) people named came here with their families, or as refugees, before they started running. At least in the case of Lagat he went through the same process and time frame for citizenship as any other immigrant to America.
The Army Kenyans are all people who first set foot in the US on student visas to run in college. There's no way they could've completed the citizenship process by now except that the time is waived for members of the military.
The only reason they joined the military, and the only real "responsibilities" they've had other than basic training, is training to try to make the Olympic team. That is not remotely like expedited citizenship for people who are already permanent US residents who are training for duty in and actually deploying to dangerous places around the world.
The Army has discretion about who to accept into the WCAP program. I don't know why they are considering people who would not otherwise be eligible to compete for the U.S.

Cindy Ofili had never been to Britain until 2015 but she "feels" British so it's okay right?

Absolutely, but they're of British parentage so that's one up on the Turks.
Shara Proctor is the least plastic of all of them, she was born British. Who do you think she should compete for at the Olympics?
