I am worried I have either 1) Stress fracture 2) Compartment syndrome 3) tibialis anterior tendonitis.
I went to an orthopedist when I had a knee issue that turned out to be a torn meniscus. Is this the same doctor I would go to? My insurance plan allows me to just make direct appointments without seeing a Primary Care.
99% of the time when you have s musculoskeletal problem, especially a running injury related to repetitive use, there is nothing any doctor can do for you that is actually helpful. Medicine is very ineffective at addressing such problems.
I go to a Kinesiologist, she works wonders for me.

I'm simply looking for a diagnosis of "this is what I SEEM to think it is." I can't afford an MRI, so I'm just hoping he could point me in one direction. I haven't run in 2.5 weeks, but the area is still tender, and even though yesterday was the 6th day I've done deep water pool running, it was the first time the injury was severely aggrevated. Which leads me to believe it's not the stress fracture I had been treating it as.

I'd go see a Physiatrist, an MD or DO who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. next on my list would be an Orthopedist who specializes in sports medicine.

See an Active Release Therapy (ART) specialist. This is what the pros do. They cN also order an MRI while they are treating your muscular issues to determine whether it is a stress fracture.
