That's a lot of talent (either current, historic or future) stepping off the track at the same event at similar times.
Any news about why from post-race press etc?

They all ran but stepped off the track, the results are right.
Astounding that none of those guys finished.
Regarding the women's race, did anyone see in that video that Dibaba may have been suffering a foot injury?
It was Genzebe who was said to have had a foot (heel) injury, non Tirunesh.
So the answer is no one knows why they all stepped off?
Step off, George!

They were all struggling at the back by halfway, lead pack had slightly split and they were in the group falling off. Couldn't keep the pace

"I fell off pace wasn't getting paid to be here. Why limp it in?"
Essentially this. Why bother?

I weep bitter tears for Merga.

But the question is, why did such legendary runners fall off a pace they've handled with ease in the past?
Jeilan especially. He was looking to be going blazing fast right about now, a few weeks ago.

How can that many be running that poorly with the Olympics only a few weeks ago?
I am not a doping conspiracist, but it is a logical explanation. A crackdown has made them all suffer.

Maybe Aden was their supplier.
